Hastelloy B3 is an additional member of the nickel-molybdenum family of alloys with excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. It also withstands sulfuric, acetic, formic and phosphoric acids, and other non-oxidizing media.Hastelloy B3 is Nickel-Molybdenum Alloy similar to Hastelloy B2 in terms of Resistance to Non Oxidizing agents, resistance to stress corrosion & pittings, non formationof grain boundry but was designed with addition quality of Thermal stability which improves welding preparations.
Hastelloy B3 has a special chemistry designed to achieve a level of thermal stability greatly superior to that of it predecessors, e.g. Hastelloy B2 .

Hastelloy B3 is widely used in the chemical, petrochemical, energy manufacturing and pollution control related processing and equipment , especially in the processes dealing with various acids Some of the more common uses including:
