Description

Inconel 925 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist a wide range of severely corrosive environments, pitting and crevice corrosion. This nickel steel alloy also displays exceptionally high yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties at high temperatures. It is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy, that can be age-hardened by adding aluminum and titanium. On the other hand, copper and molybdenum are added to increase its resistance to corrosive media.

Incoloy 925 is used in various applications that require a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Because the alloy has resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking in crude oil and natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide, it is used in downhole and surface gas well components, including tubular products, valves, suspensions, seating joints, tool joints and seals. Spacer. This alloy is also suitable for fasteners, marine shafts, pump shafts and high-strength piping systems.

Application

  • Marine fasteners and pump shafts
  • Downhole equipment for corrosive/sour service

– Valves, hangers, tool joints, packers and tubulars

  • High strength fasteners
  • Chemical process industry components
